I built Reelm because social media got tedious. I kept watching people make extraordinary things, then post them somewhere that paid them nothing in return.
No spotlight, no praise, no community — a digital graveyard. The AI film scene has been ripped out of the spotlight by repetitive, boring, stagnant videos that leave your brain paused and filled with mental blocks.
AI has opened up a way for those who could never stop thinking, never stop being creative and unique, and it has allowed them to be free — to materialise their thoughts, their ideas. The tools got good faster than almost anyone expected, and people who could never have afforded a camera crew started making work that genuinely holds up.
What none of them have is anywhere to put it. Companies pay fractions of a penny and bury anything that does not feed the feed, very few festivals take the work seriously, and no streamer is commissioning it — until now.
So it sits on a hard drive, or it gets posted once and disappears. Reelm is my attempt at the missing thing. Viewers pay £8.99 a month, and the majority of that goes to the people whose work was actually watched — whose work leaves viewers wanting more.
I should be honest about where this is. We are a small company with a very broad vision, the catalogue does not exist yet, and you would be early. That is the trade, and I would rather say it here than have you find it out on your own — but you will be part of a new empire that has room for limitless growth. What I can promise is that the terms will not quietly move once you are in, that your work is yours and will never be sold on as training data at any price, and that if you ever decide to leave you can take all of it with you.
