1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Reelm (reelm.co.uk or app.reelm.co.uk), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

These terms apply to all users — viewers, creators, and founding creators. Additional terms may apply to specific features or services as they are introduced.

Reelm Ltd reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after notice of changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Using the platform

To use Reelm you must be at least 16 years old. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Subscription access is for personal, non-commercial viewing only. Downloading or redistributing platform content without permission is prohibited.

3. Creator terms

Creators are individuals or entities who upload original content to Reelm for distribution to subscribers.

Founding creator terms: If you hold a founding creator position, your 70% revenue share and founding credit are locked in for the lifetime of your account, regardless of future changes to standard creator terms — including any change to these Terms of Service. Founding creators sign a separate Founding Creator Agreement; where that agreement and these terms differ, the signed agreement prevails.

4. Payments & payouts

Viewer subscriptions: Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

Creator payouts: Creator revenue is attributed per subscriber, in proportion to validated watch time recorded by Reelm's server-side systems — client-reported progress is never used for payment calculations. Payouts are processed bi-weekly — every other Wednesday — via Stripe Connect. Minimum payout threshold is £5, with balances below the threshold rolling over to the next payout cycle. A creator's first four payout cycles are verified manually before release.

5. Content standards

All content on Reelm must comply with UK law and our community standards. The following is strictly prohibited:

AI-generated content is welcome on Reelm — that is our core proposition. Creators are responsible for ensuring their AI-generated content meets the same standards as any other content.

To report content you believe breaks these standards or the law, email lord@reelm.co.uk with a link to the content. Reports are reviewed against our moderation procedure, illegal-content reports are prioritised, and an in-app report function is rolling out on the platform.

6. Intellectual property

The Reelm name, logo, platform design, and all original Reelm-created content are the intellectual property of Reelm Ltd. You may not use them without written permission.

Creator content remains the intellectual property of the creator. By uploading to Reelm, you grant us a licence to deliver that content to subscribers — nothing more.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting lord@reelm.co.uk.

Reelm may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation. We will always attempt to give notice and an opportunity to resolve minor violations before termination.

8. Limitation of liability

Reelm is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Reelm Ltd excludes all liability for indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from use of the platform.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Reelm in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in this section limits Reelm Ltd's obligation to pay creators revenue share properly due under section 4 or under a signed creator agreement.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

For questions or disputes, contact us first at lord@reelm.co.uk. We will always try to resolve issues informally before any formal process.
